Storm damage has a way of catching homeowners completely off guard. One day everything is fine, the next you're staring at a roof that took a serious hit. That's exactly where this homeowner found themselves - and instead of figuring it out alone, they reached out to us to handle it from start to finish.

When we stripped the old roof down to bare decking, we could see exactly what the storm had done. Some sections of the decking had taken enough damage that they needed to be cut out and replaced entirely before anything new went on top. That's the kind of thing you can't skip - putting new materials over compromised decking is just setting yourself up for problems down the road. We got it sorted and made sure the base was solid before moving forward.

From there, we laid down SecureGrip 30 synthetic underlayment across the full deck. That's a heavy-duty moisture barrier that goes on before the shingles - it's a big part of what keeps water out even if shingles ever take a hit again. Then we staged the Landmark shingles along the ridge and worked our way down. The crew handled every detail, including proper flashing around the chimney and all the penetrations.

The finished result is a clean, tight Landmark shingle roof in a charcoal gray tone. Every course is consistent, the ridge cap runs straight the full length of the home, and all the flashing points are sealed correctly. This is what a proper roofing installation looks like when it's done right. No shortcuts, no patches over old problems.

Navigating an insurance claim on top of dealing with roof damage is stressful. We work with homeowners through that process - helping document the damage, working alongside the adjuster, and making sure the scope of work actually covers what needs to be done. If your roof has taken storm damage and you're not sure where to start with a claim, we can walk you through it.
